Date and Peanut Butter Squares

These No-Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars are so easy to make and can be prepared in about 15 minutes. The perfect easy dessert for chocolate and peanut butter lovers!

Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp chopped roasted unsalted peanuts
  • 3 tbs ground flaxseeds
  • 200 g pitted dates
  • 1 1/4 cup whole grain unsweetened puffed rice (you can use rice cake if you want)
  • 1 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup all natural peanut butter
  • 4 to 5 tbsp Date Syrup
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil or butter
  •  

    Instructions

  • In a food processor process the dates until they became a paste (you can soak them in hot water for 5 mins first. If needed)
  • Add flaxseeds, chopped peanuts, puffed rice, oats, cinnamon and salt to the dates and process slowly until everything is well combined.
  • In a saucepan put honey, coconut oil or butter and peanut butter and melt them. (Keep stirring).
  • Add peanut butter mix to the date mix and combine them well
  • Pour the mixture in a 20 cm tray lined with parchment paper and press it well to the bottom.
  • Put it in the fridge for 1 hour until it sets.
  • Cut it into squares.
  • To be stored in the fridge.
