Date Banana Cake

This is a basic banana bread recipe with a twist -- dates! So simple to make and guaranteed to please everybody.

  • 3 mashed ripe bananas
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup oat flour
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts


  1. Mix all the dry ingredients together (oat flour, all purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, shredded coconut)
  2. Mix the wet ingredients together (mashed banana with yogurt, honey, oil and eggs and vanilla extract)
  3. Mix wet ingredients with dry ingredients until well combined.
  4. Fold in walnuts.
  5. Pour the mixture in a baking tray lined with parchment paper or brush it with aome oil and flour.
  6. Bake at 180°C for about 35 to 40 mins.
