Date Sweetened Chocolate Cookies

While these chocolate cookies are not completely sugar-free, you can eliminate the added sugar by using our Date Sugar to replace white or brown sugar  giving you the cholesterol-lowering benefits of fibre -packed dates. 


  • 200g Softened butter
  • 300g Date Sugar
  • 2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 2 Eggs
  • 300g Self Raising Flour
  • 80g Cocoa Powder
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 300g Chocolate chips


* Melt the coconut oil with the cocoa powder and date syrup in a large non stick sauce pan over gentle heat and stir regularly
* Remove from heat and stir in the oats until thoroughly coated. Scatter evenly over a baking tray
* Bake in preheated oven of 170 degrees for 15 min
* Remove from the oven and stir in the nuts. Return to oven for further 10 min
* Remove from oven and leave to cool and crisp up on tray
