Easy Golden Chewy Date Syrup Flapjacks

This easy go to 30 min flapjack recipe perfect for Ramadan and the days you are on the go...they are chewy with crunchy seeds, juicy sultanas perfect for around Taraweeh between the prayers to keep your energy going
Ingredients:
80g Date Syrup (you can use golden syrup too)
80g Light brown sugar
80g Salted butter
150g Oats
50g Chia seeds
50g or handful of nuts
50g Sunflower seeds (optional)
75g Sultanas
For the icing drizzle:
1/4 cup caster sugar or date sugar
1-2 tsp milk
Small drop of yellow food colouring
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C
- Put the butter, date syrup and brown sugar into a medium pan over low heat. Heat gently, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from the heat and stir in all the remaining ingredients.
- Line a 20cm rectangle baking tin with nonstick baking paper. Press the mixture into the tin until even. Cook for 20 mins until golden brown. Mark the flapjack into rectangles or squares I while still hot. Cool, then turn the flapjack out onto a chopping board. Cut into desired shape of rectangle or squares and leave to cool.
