Another easy yet satisfying recipe from our friends over at Peony Bakes. Definitely a great addition for Ramadhan Suhoor or regular breakfast too.
200ml Date syrup
100g Ajwa/Medjool dates washed and chopped
50g Light brown sugar
30g Desiccated coconut
- Preheat your oven to 180°C/Gas mark 4.
- Melt your butter in a saucepan over a medium heat adding your date syrup, beat it with a spoon until it's combined.
- Add the sugar and the dates and mix.
Stir in the oats and the desiccated coconut, then pour the mixture into a the tin and flatten it using back of a spoon.
- Bake for 20 mins.
I had left over chocolate ganache so I smothered that on them to make them less healthy
