Sunnah Wholefoods Sticky Date Pudding!!
Also known as Sticky Toffee Pudding!..This gem is a real treat for the Date lover! This wonderful cake is perfect for an afternoon dessert, wholesome, sweet and indulgent! All made using Date Syrup, Date Sugar & Date Jam. The Date ingredient adds a lovely caramel blend, and would go down very nicely with a cup of tea!
Sunnah Wholefoods Sticky Date Pudding Ingredients
-100 g Softened Butter
- 150 g Date Sugar from Sunnah Wholefoods
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 250 g date jam from Sunnah Wholefoods
- 160 g flour
- 1 tbs Baking Powder
- 100 ml milk
1) Preheat the oven at 180°C
2) First mix date sugar and softened butter together. Add eggs and vanilla and mix for 2 to 3 minutes.
3) Add Date Jam and combine well. Add flour, baking powder and 100 ml milk and combine it to the ingredients.
4) Grease a loaf baking tin with butter. Pour in the batter.
5) Bake at 180° C for 50 minutes.
6) Remove and let it cool down!
Date Toffee Sauce Ingredients
For the toffee sauce
- 40 g butter
- 90 g date syrup from sunnah whole food
- 40 g cream light
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Mix all the ingredients of the sauce together and put it on medium heat.
Lower the heat and cook for more two minutes.
Pour the toffee sauce over the cake.
